About Rayyan Café

Rayyan Café was created from the heart of our family. We chose the name to honour our most beloved little person, our son Rayyan. Born right here in Cairns, Rayyan has always loved being around good food and drinks. From sneaking little tastes of the froth on his baba’s coffee to enjoying the fresh smoothies his mum makes each day, he’s usually the first to say “mmm.. yummy..more?!” and that joy is exactly what inspired our café.

Rayyan Café is our small mum and dad family business, built with love and the dream of creating a welcoming place where everyone feels at home. We wanted to create a relaxed, family-friendly space where locals and tourists alike can pop in, take a break, and enjoy something delicious. 

Our menu is filled with refreshing smoothies 🥤, fresh juices, great coffee ☕, thick shakes 🥛, and other specialty drinks as well as a delightful variety of sweet and savoury breakfast and dessert waffles 🧇 & crepes 🥞, croissants 🥐 and cookies 🍪. Many of our drinks are inspired by iconic Aussie animals, giving visitors a fun taste of Australia while they explore Cairns. 

This dream would not have been possible without the love and support of Rayyan’s grandparents, his Teta and Jido from Jordan, as they are known in Arabic. Their encouragement, support, and belief in us helped turn this dream into a reality, and we are so grateful to have them as part of our journey.  Whether you're starting your morning on the Esplanade, cooling down after a walk along the waterfront, or simply looking for your new favourite local café, we hope Rayyan Café becomes a place you love to visit.
